About me


I have always loved to cook! My love of cooking began with baking. As a child, I would spend my Saturdays baking cakes and my Sundays selling them at my brother's rugby club. As I grew older I moved into hosting dinner parties for all of my friends. My home became a social spot where my family and friends would sit around the table into the late hours eating good food and enjoying each other’s company and this was much the same during my 3 years at Newcastle University. After university, I spent two winters in the Alps; where I was trained as a chef! I was taught the theory behind cooking & food; to understand why you blanch and refresh your veg before learning how. I was incredibly lucky to spend time working with and learning from amazingly talented and experienced chefs who challenged me to experiment with my menus and showed me the creative ways of building a plate.

Whilst working in France, cooking 4-course meals 6 nights a week, I realised what a treat my clients thought it was to have a private chef! To be in the comfort of their private chalet with their nearest and dearest whilst also being served delicious food and wine; not having to worry about the shopping, the preparation, the cooking or the clean-up! I launched Naturally Ginger last year to provide this same service in London; allowing clients to enjoy the best parts of hosting without the worries that come with juggling hot plates and pans. All ingredients are sourced locally and are of the finest quality; which I believe is the key to creating the best plate.
